Fortnite finally coming back to iOS App Store

Apple recently updated many of its terms and services, allowing for game streaming services to come to the iOS platform, alongside a whole host of other EU-mandated changes. This will allow Epic Games to bring Fortnite back to the platform, with them taking to Twitter to say: “Remember Fortnite on iOS? How bout we bring that back. Later this year Fortnite will return in Europe on iOS through the @EpicGames Store. (shoutout DMA – an important new law in the EU making this possible). @Apple, the world is watching.” Fortnite was more popular than ever when it was removed from the Apple App Store back in 2020. Since then however, the game has only continued to grow – meaning it will be highly interesting to see how iOS users react when Fortnite does finally return to the platform. |
