Halo Infinite Shop Changes Revealed

Posted by: Diablo in News (Games)     Tags: Halo Infinite Shop Changes Revealed
Halo Infinite has featured in Game of the Year lists across the board. Not only did the shadow-dropped multiplayer take 2021's FPS segment by storm, but the campaign's reimagined formula cemented its place as one of the year's biggest games. That's not to say that it didn't come with its own problems. Players have reported issues with the game's progression system, steeply priced cosmetics, and even rampant cheating. 343 Industries has now announced some of the price related changes coming to the multiplayer.

"Our focus with these changes is on reducing pricing across the board, providing stronger values in our bundles, starting to put individual items outside of bundles, and more," said community manager John Junyszek via a post on the Halo Waypoint forum. "This week we focused on reducing the prices of our weekly bundles, while next week will have individual items starting to appear on their own. We will be trying new things throughout the rest of the season so that we can continue to learn and improve for the future."

Looks like you'll finally be able to get that helmet you've had your eyes on, and you won't need to pay too much for it either. While these changes will be welcomed by players, it's not even the best news from the update. Junyszek also confirmed that Credits will be earnable in the battle pass for season 2 of Halo Infinite. "That means you will be able to earn Credits as part of your Halo Infinite progression," he confirmed. Details on how exactly this will work were not provided; they'll be released closer to the launch of season 2.

Unfortunately, it appears that the devs are still struggling to iron out the issues pertaining to Big Team Battle, as the hotfix didn't exactly work as intended. "The team is continuing to investigate the Big Team Battle matchmaking issues," clarified Junyszek towards the end of the post. "This week’s hotfix, though not as effective as we had initially hoped, also contained additional telemetry that has been providing promising data to the team. We’ll continue to share updates when we have them."
