One of the most important decision you are making each round is about which weapon should you buy, our Weapon stats and details guide will inform you which are the weapons in Valorant and will teach you about their stats so without further ado:

All the Valorant weapons can be bought at the beginning of the round using the buy menu which looks like this:

Please note that no weapon in Valorant is strictly good or bad, therefore, each gun has its own unique circumstances that it excels at and understanding them can help you make the most of your Creds so let’s dive right into it!

There are 17 weapons (excepting the Knife) in Valorant, each described in their respective class page:
  • Ares
  • Bucky
  • Bulldog
  • Classic
  • Frenzy
  • Ghost
  • Guardian
  • Judge
  • Marshal
  • Odin
  • Operator
  • Phantom
  • Sheriff
  • Shorty
  • Spectre
  • Stinger
  • Vandal

First of all let’s start with the Knife which is a default free weapon. The knife deals 50 damage with the left click and using the right click knife attack does 75 damage against an enemy who’s facing you, and insta-kills enemies in the back, like it does in Counter-Strike.

Other than the knife we have the Sidearms, SMGs, Shotguns, Rifles, Heavy Rifles and Sniper rifles for which we wen’t into more details for this Valorant weapon stats and details guide in their respective pages!

Without doubt the best weapon class and the most used are the Rifles and the Snipers which also have the highest damage output.

Last but not least we have the Shields which often times make a difference between live or death due to their magnificent property of absorbing damage:
  • Light shield – Blocks 2/3 of the damage received and breaks after absorbing 25. This is a good alternative if you don’t have the necessary funds to buy the heavy one.
  • Heavy shield – Blocks 2/3 of the damage received and breaks after absorbing 50. Best choice when it comes to protection, this bad boy is basically adding 50 health to your agent.

In conclusion, understanding weapons and shields is the most important step you can take in order to become a better Valorant player and therefore win more matches!
